The Princenhuis or Princes' house was the residences of the princes of Orange
while in town. Hellevoetsluis was an important military stronghold in the revolt against Spain, so a residence for the army's
commander, prince Maurits and Frederik Hendrik, was necessary.
The house was built in a beautiful classical dutch style. Nowadays, it is the
local town hall.
